A Bit of Background
Heel Yourself is a non-profit organization that exists to mentor teenage girls of color into transformed leaders through mental health and character development programs.
We believe that no one can be all they're called to be without a healthy community and practical tools. Since our founding in 2019, we have been determined to make an impact on women all over the World. The core of our efforts is to bring encouragement through mentorship and serving. Through all of our endeavors, we desire to display the love of Jesus to as many women as possible.
Heel Yourself is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code.
OUR HEART
Working Towards a Better Tomorrow
Established in San Francisco, California Heel Yourself began as an organization driven by mentorship and service. The Sole Sisters Mentorship Group accomplishes the goal of providing service to neighboring organizations while teaching each girl the importance of being a leader. Upon completion of each Sole Sisters cohort, the young women will receive a pair of new shoes, college scholarships, workforce stipends, and recognition from a culmination ceremony.
OUR STORY
Heel Yourself started with the visionary of 5 fearless women leaders. All the women are women of color who walked through multiple challenges and went on to have successful lives professionally and personally. Their vision is to provide mentorship to teenage girls of color through mental health and character development programs. Heel Yourself serves teens ages 16-18 so they can be confident leaders within their community.

MENTORSHIP
Doing What’s Needed
Our mentorship service deals directly with our network of women. We involve their needs and develop innovative ways to implement them. We pay attention to the well-being of every woman in our network and gather female leaders from different industries to help guide them walk toward their God-given purpose.

THERAPY
Tackling the Trauma
We see opposition as an opportunity, and this program helps us ensure that women are being healed from personal traumas and prepared to manage the unique situations they find themselves in. We are invested in an innovative approach that empowers our community and delivers the support they need when they need it. We are a small nonprofit but desire to make an effective impact where we can. Our recent cohort received 3 months of therapy for FREE with our licensed therapist. Our career navigation services are another way we invest in our network of women. We know that planting your feet into a new career can have multiple barriers, but we want to get ahead of that by making them aware of their divine design and the different industries they'll thrive. HEELING ROOM
Ignite Not Inspire
The strength and sustaining foundation of Heel Yourself is the practical application of God’s Word in everyday life. The Heeling Room is an experience that happens once a month. Women from around the world gather to worship and get Spirit led applications for their everyday lives. Through sermons, panels, discussions, and so much more, we interact together as a community being our sister’s keeper to push each other towards our God ordained purpose.
